Been a while!

It's been a while since I posted...had two weigh-ins since...one not so good...another that wasn't great...but not horrible either.

Week 3 I gained. :-(  I only gained 0.6, but it still sucks...so that put me at a total loss of 2 pounds.  Last week I lost 0.8...a little disappointed that it was more of a loss, but it's still a loss.  So I am now at a total of 2.8 pounds loss.

I know one of my biggest struggles is drinking as much water as I should.  I normally drink NO water at all...I've always had a problem with drinking water.  The flavored water shakers really help, but I know some of the water I drink should be straight water...no flavor.  I've also started using straws...apparently I drink a lot faster through a straw...haha!

I started working out this week.  I really like how I feel when I run...well, AFTER the running, but it's very hard on my knees and my heart.  I have a heart mur-mur and a patch on my heart (open heart surgery when I was an infant).  Each time I run, it feels like my legs want to keep going but I get to a point where I can barely breathe...not so easy to run then.  I'm hoping its just something I need to push through.  Guess we'll see!

Coming to the end of week 2!

Tomorrow will be my second weigh-in since starting WW again.  I'm excited that I've been able to keep on plan for two weeks straight.  One of my biggest challenges has always been tracking what I eat...two weeks straight I've tracked everything. :-)

I've tried to resist from hopping on a scale during the week - but rather wait until my Thursday weigh-ins...but I weighed myself tonight...according to my scale I'm down a little more than two pounds...but we'll see what happens tomorrow!

Decorating Easter eggs

Having fun decorating eggs!

My birthday cake!

I found a very healthy recipe for a tasty treat...Thomas actually made it as my birthday cake (pic in below post).

Blueberry Squares
  • 1 package angel food cake mix, about 14.5 oz.
  • 22 oz light blueberry pie filling (actually any flavor pie filling will work...we tried blueberry and cherry).

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Combine 2 ingredients (do not add any other ingredients). Pour batter into an ungreased 9- x 13-inch baking dish; bake for 30 minutes. Cool and cut into 24 pieces. Makes 24 servings.

PointsPlus value per serving - 2.

The first time I tried it...pretty much failed. They're serious when they say to use a 3- x 13-inch dish...8 x 8 just won't cut it!

It's my birthday!

Got a new phone which I can blog from...Thomas cooked dinner and made a healthy cake...all in all a good day.  :-)
